Site of the Week: LOLBOOK.nu

I’m sure by now everyone is well aware of how popular personal blogging is. It seems that posting what you are wearing on any number of websites is the sure quick way to fame. Imagine how I felt when someone over at tfs started a thread on the parody of lookbook.nu called lolbook.nu

Check out these funny captions…It’s sure to get you through the bad days…

This Seemed Appropriate…

Since I am headed to California in a matter of hours I thought it best to pay tribute to one of my fav Cali girls out there, Gwen Stefani. When she first entered my world it was around 1995, I was still in mourning from grunge being over but there she was in the “Just a Girl” video. Looking awesome in bondage pants and cut off tankI saved up my allowance money to buy myself a pair of pink and black plaid ones…She was one of the boys but she was “Just a Girl”.

Later on as No Doubt moved forward she turned into a glamazon. She is the ultimate punk chameleon. I love how she transformed into a mom but still a badass fashion icon.

Bleach it Black…

So, over the past year or so I have really been admiring Leigh Lezark, (Misshapes DJ) personal style from afar. With her striking angular bob, which is rumoured to be cut by designer Benjamin Cho; she has gone from circuit party girl to full blown international fashion star and model.

One thing that I like about her style is that she can usually be seen in neutrals but when she does pull out the colors it looks beautifully pulled together…

You can find her on cobrasnake or even in the latest international glossies…Check this latest editorial for Tatler magazine…

She was one of the 3 DJs who created the Misshapes party epidemic and instantly boosted the hipster personal style to another level. At their parties they had an area where you get your photo taken; which got so famous that they published a book. I love her playful candid style as well as her event looks…

She makes it clear that brunettes just may have more fun!
