Menswear Monday: “Grunge Goth Glamour”

When I saw the preview for Bravo’s new show “Kell on Earth” I knew I would be hooked. Seeing the inner workings of a small but nevertheless powerful fashion PR agency was right up my alley. Even more intriguing than founder Kelly Cutrone is her assistant, Andrew Mukamal. He wears full length gowns and worships at the altar of Rick Owens, as do I. I literally wait to see what he wears with each episode. He once described his style in three words: “grunge, goth, and glamour”. Take a look at his closet and his thoughts on fashion. Marry me now. Thanks.

Menswear Monday: Skins.

As some of you know I’m obsessed with the UK drama, Skins. Just last week they ended their fourth season so I thought it felt appropriate to display the boys of the show. I happen to love Freddie and Cook the most played by Luke Pasqualino and Jack O’Connell. Here are some of the photos I have managed to dig up.

Luke Pasqualino who plays “Freddie”

Jack O’Connell who plays “Cook”

Jack here with Ollie Barbieri who plays “JJ”

This is probably one of the best promos I have ever seen for a television show. It was profiling Freddie’s episode and it was so epic. Please watch this show if you don’t already.

She Does it Again…

Full concert review to follow but can we just talk about how Mary- Kate Olsen just knocked it out of the park again? Here she is leaving her NYC apt on March 19th…

She looks like she belongs in the movie “Hocus Pocus” but I love it!

The Good Old Days: New Found Glory

So in honor of me going to see New Found Glory and Saves the Day tomorrow I thought I would post up a little vintage video gem. New Found Glory pretty much defines my college years in Long Island I wouldn’t trade those times for anything in the world. My roommate Krissy is the one who introduced me to this genre and we traveled all over the tri state area and even into Philadelphia one Halloween night to see Brand New and it was incredible. I only wish that she was in Cali with me tomorrow because its the 10 year anniversary of their Self Titled album and it would just be like coming full circle.

ps. i had such a crush on all these guys when this came out.

Menswear Monday: Brand New’s Jesse Lacey

This man is probably one of the most inspirational lyricists of my generation. If you don’t know the band Brand New then you must look them up immediately. I posted on them a while back but I love frontman Jesse Lacey’s personal style. He  has a very grunge hippie vibe that I’m loving right now.

Thanks to my awesome friend Krissy for sending me these great photos…
