There is something about Jack White that is something special. From his weird goth style that somehow has a bit of grunge and country mixed in, he truly is a songwriting genius. The White Stripes were one of the first bands that defined my venture into indie rock in college. In the White Stripes he primarily wore red and white but as his music changed so did his style. From The Raconteurs to The Dead Weather, and now his solo project. I like to think of him as the US counterpart to Pete Doherty.

mr. white. the man is a genius… a musical mad scientist… a mastermind. everything he touches becomes wanted. his music is always incredible, his ideas are always epic, and his passion for being an outcast.. always standing out in a world that constantly tries to fit in. i admire him so much.
