The first time I saw Empire Records one of my favorite characters was Debra. A girl who wore an awesome tank top showing her tattoos, chewing gum and riding to work on a Vespa. Also, shaving your head in the bathroom at work? Riot Girl! Pretty much exactly what I wanted to be in the 90s. Especially working in a record store. Then she was Sarah, the “natural witch” in The Craft. Need I say more about that movie? Really. Another one of my favorite indie flicks is “Niagara, Niagara”, where she plays a young girl with Tourette’s syndrome. She is such an incredible actress and easily embodies each role she plays.
