Designer Obsession: Sandrina Fasoli

When I got an email from Belgium based designer Sandrina Fasoli, I knew I was gonna be in for a real treat. One of the great things about being a blogger is that I get exposed to so many great designers from all over the world. This just further proves my desire to get to Antwerp. Maybe now sooner than later.

A sample of their campaign for Spring/Summer 2011 shot by Benjamin Travade and styled by Benoit Bethume . My favorite aspects of the designs are the 50s style with a touch modernism. Not to mention the Cindy Sherman style of the campaign photos.

The Only One…CKOne

I simply love when a brand reinvents itself. I remember when I was young I loved CKone perfume. They made such a great ad campaign playing with the 90s grunge style and the black and white grittiness of the brand. Since then, Calvin Klein had lost some of that appeal with the younger crowd. Until last year Alexander Wang made an awesome “Wang Gang” video with all of the “it” people in fashion these days. It brought it back and now there is a new ad campaign for the summer of 2011 and its nostalgic in all the right ways. Take me back to 1995 again. Please.

With models like Abbey Lee Kershaw, Sky Ferriera, Lara Stone, and Yuri Pleskun how can you go wrong?

For the Rag and Bone Spring 2011 campaign the company decided to take a different turn. Take some of the hottest models in the world and give them clothes and a camera with no limits. These are the shots from their campaign and it’s genius.

Champagne for the Campaign: Alexander Wang S/S 2011

Even though A. Wang was quoted as saying that his new “spring promotion” images shot by Craig McDean was not an ad campaign, I still love it. Let’s face it. He could cough in a bag and I would love it. Better get your hands on a copy of Interview Magazine this March, cause that’s the only place you’ll see it in print.

Sweet Relief Calms Me Down…

I know that it may seem a little weird but sometimes I get inspired by tv commercials. I have found some of my favorite musical artists on them. A while ago Gap and VW arguably had the best ones. Lately I have been spending tons of time surfing on YouTube to find some of them..

These are my current inspirations.
