Exclusive: Escape by Stefan Deyn

img483I love the simple and raw nature of photographer Stefan Deyn’s work. Just a bit ago we did an interview with him to get to know more about his process and why he decides to shoot film in the digital world we live in.  Here is an exclusive series with Gaia that just makes you want to escape.

Here is a description of Maggie Fisher’s latest photo series:

H O U S E   O F   W O N D E R S :
Attached is a series of photographs I shot this past weekend. My friend and I went to his family’s house for the weekend to escape the beginning of the semesters chaos.  Never have I appreciated silence so much.  For me, winter is a time to restore and shutting ourselves away in the hills of the Berkshires tending to the fire, reading, cooking, and playing board games was the perfect way to do that.

Thrift Shop Life by Alessandro Ruggieri

1Here’s a synopsis of this series from Alessandro Ruggieri:

All clothes are vintage. Shot between London and Macerata (ITALY). Most of the photos in this series were used to promote charity vintage markets that I organized.
To me this kind of initiatives represents something  close to the true spirit of alternative fashion. An alternative to big companies homogenization and exploitation of people and environment + thrift shopping it’s fun, creative and cheap!

Girls involved in the shootings (posing and we did styling together) are all friends named: Silvia, Cinzia, Amy, Molli, Laura, Chiara, Maria, Martina, and Valeria.

Exclusive: Karina by Emilie Lacoursiere

karinaThe element of a natural habitat is the most intriguing aspect of people’s lives. Whether it’s simply remaining invisible or interacting with the subject, the end result is always a surprise. This series of Karina shot by Emilie Lacoursiere is the first in a series of personal habitat exploration.

Exclusive: Ryun by Jason Landis

2I love the lifestyle attached to the skateboarding culture. That is one of the main aspects of California life that I miss.  It’s great that in the 5 years that I spent there I was able to soak it in. It has felt a bit more real than just the distant dreaming in my East Coast bedroom. This series of Ryun Rich shot by Jason Landis makes me miss the West Coast in the best way.
