When You Got a Clean Smile, You Can Walk with Style…

In my life there are so many different obstacles and challenges that I come across.   Tumblr is one of the greatest inspiration sites for me. It’s very different from many of the other social media sites that are around now. Lately, because of my job I feel like I’m always connected to the web in some way or another. One of my best friends Chris Lai, is here from NYC and it’s always great to have a piece of home here because it inspires me in a completely different way. In keeping with the theme of inspiration, here is a mix of images that I’m currently crushing on via my tumblr dashboard.

On the Edge…

I’m trying to fit this post in before the clock turns 12 and it’s time for a ‘Throwback Thursday”. I realized that last Sunday I didn’t post my usual crop of inspiration so here it goes…

Brighter Daze from LF…

Well, its almost that magical time of year, summer. Being in California people naturally assume that it’s always summer. Not true. Just so happens its pretty chilly right now. However, there is always something that changes in L.A. over the summer. Almost like the weather flipped a switch and overnight it turns into this magical land where the breezes are abundant and the music is blarin with the top down.

This season LF brought us one of the most summer driven lookbooks ever. The 90s are still around going strong and this season it looks like Cher Horowitz took some acid.

And I love it.

Menswear Monday: Adam Goldberg

There is something about Adam Goldberg that I have always loved. From his incredible humor to his geek-chic looks, he’s been one of my crushes for a while. Now you all know him as the guy who ‘just wants to dance” from Dazed and Confused but it wasn’t until the film “2 Days in Paris” that I really noticed him again. Oh, if you havent seen that movie please do. Julie Delpy plays his girlfriend and they spent 2 days with her family in Paris. When I tell you that his tales are an accurate description of an American in Paris I’m not exaggerating.

One of my favorites roles he’s done lately was on “Entourage”. Look it up. This post came about when I saw him at the restaurant me and girlfriends have our weekly dinners at. Yep, he still looks just as good as ever.

from “Dazed and Confused”

from his “Inked Magazine” feature.

He has a pretty awesome photography blog through the Impossible Project and you can see it here

one of his photographs.

Hope you enjoy!

Charting the Future…

Lately it seems that I’m making plans, drawing things up and making final decisions. Hopefully there will be an end result to everything that you all will see soon. Until then, let these images run through your head to evoke some type of inspiration for the week to come.

Personal Style Icon: Alexis Martinez

You may remember that a while back I did a post on my friend Kim here. I’ve always thought about exploring this idea even more lately. This time I decided to compile a post on my friend Alexis. She’s another former colleague of mine from New York. She’s got this super edgy style and the tough girly swag of a New Yorker. And she also looks good in any haircolor.

Of course both of these girls should totally have blogs cause I would be a huge fan.

Enjoy!

I’m On It…

Yesterday I forgot to wear jewelry so today I’m making up for it. Erin Wasson is my style guide for today. Here’s hoping the day flies by pretty fast.

Throwback Sunday…Cabin Fever

About a week ago my college computer finally crashed. When I felt it on the fritz I quickly rushed to back up my work on here. In my life I’ve only shot a series of photos a few times. This one I shot with my friend Kat who styled it and Sarah who we worked with at the time. Some of you may remember that we shot Sarah for the “Soft Edge” editorial last year. Take a look at  some of my early work as a photographer. This is still one of my favorite shoots I’ve done to date. Hopefully this will give you some inspiration on this Sunday afternoon.
