Welcome to the Dollhouse is a dark comedy about a girl in 7th grade going through the awkward stages of growing up. I watched it when it came out in the 90s and at first I wasn’t crazy about it. Probably because it’s much too similar to my own junior high experience. Let’s be real, I was a dork with big glasses and geeky traits all around. Ha.

Heather Matarazzo broke onto the scene with her starring role in the film as well as Brandon Sexton III, “Warren” from Empire Records. If you haven’t seen this movie consider it the next time you want something awesome to watch.
