If some of you out there don’t know, this is the best time to online shop. Most shops are offering at least 50% off inventory in order to make room for Spring Collections. Some misconceptions about me is that I buy a ton of clothing for retail prices. I rarely do. Most of my shopping is hunting around to find the best deals but still being smart about what I do purchase. Shopping and being interested in fashion doesn’t exactly help my budget but I’m getting it under control..
Onto the loot..
Elizabeth and James boots from aloharag.com for 70% off!
I plan on pairing these with my distressed denim and flowy floral skirts…

As we all know River Phoenix is one of those people who left this Earth too soon. He died in October of 1993 of an overdose in Hollywood, just when his acting career was taking off. While he is one of my 90s fashion icons, he also embodies what “grunge” means to me.

You will be missed…

So, just the other night at 2 am I rewatched another one of my favorite indie cult classics, Doom Generation. It is directed by Gregg Araki who is notoriously makes movies that look like a bad acid trip but I happen to love his exciting take on the world of seedy LA subculture in the 90s.
Rose McGowan stars in one of her first starring roles as Amy Blue, one seriously f-ed up girl with a weird asexual boyfriend and killer fashion sense. While going on a crazy crime spree all around the Valley with her boyfriend and a mysterious drifter named X she looks like a crazy drugged out Bettie Page.
Check her out:
