Now, I’m a sucker for a man in a suit. Not just a suit but a well tailored suit. This is something that should be in every man’s wardrobe. The equivalent of the “little black dress” for women. Ever since becoming interested in fashion a few years ago I have been following the work of Dior Homme while it was still under Hedi Slimane. Slimane has since left Dior Homme and has become quite the photographer these days. There is something about the slim fit with an accompanying slim black tie that just sharpens up any man’s look. Now, you don’t have to spend 4 figures to get this look but hopefully this will give you some ideas.
In the Spring 2005 show Hedi Slimane brought a deafening dose of rock n’ roll to his show. Slimane brought slim fitting denim and leather jackets into the mainstream. Slim cut suits in white and red with a grunge undertone were seen but he still managed keep Dior’s true nature in tact. It’s ok to wear clothes that form to your body, guys. It’s not just for girls anymore. Mick Jagger would be so proud.
The man himself…

I adore Hedi and his designs. I just wish there was more from him lately, he’s so elusive!
