This past Monday I went to the Art in the Streets exhibit at the MOCA here in L.A. Over the past two years that I have lived here I’m ashamed on how culturally illiterate I have been. I suppose the transportation in NYC made it easier to pop around to different galleries and museums. We took initiative and made it down to the exhibit (which is free on Mondays thanks to Banksy) and I have never been so blown away.
Showcasing street art from some of the most famous artists all over the world, including Basquiat which was a surprise and a dream all at once. This is the last week of the exhibition and it’s traveling to Brooklyn next. If you live on the East Coast you can’t miss this.
*I apologize in advance for the phone pics but my camera battery died. =(
