Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life . . . But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. ”

These are the opening lines to the film, Trainspotting. A movie about a group of heroin addicts living and going crazy in Edinburgh, Scotland. This movie will scare you straight from even thinking about touching any kind of drug, so tread lightly. Through the graphic depiction of the trials and tribulations of heroin addiction, the style of this movie has shaped so much of the trends out there today. Especially, in the new movement in grunge. Mixed with some mod influences of the U.K. there is no shortage in fashion inspiration here.

Not to mention, who doesn’t love Ewan McGregor and Jonny Lee Miller from the 90s?
