This Monday’s post was inspired by one of my friends Lisa, who posted a photo of Damon Albarn on my facebook page last night. I thought it would make for a great menswear monday post and share some of my favorite brit-pop bands of the 90s. Of course I couldn’t leave out the Gallagher brothers of Oasis who pretty much made one of the best albums of the 90s, What’s the Story Morning Glory? My best and oldest friend since 4th grade is from England and she is the one who introduced me to the whole brit-pop world. I’m thankful of it everytime I can show off my extensive knowledge on the subject. I distinctly remember going to a Stereophonics show in 10th grade and completely losing my voice for a few days after. Stereophonics is not considered true brit-pop but I’m going to add them to my list anyway!
Take a few minutes today to appreciate brit-pop and incorporate some in your Monday playlist.

In 1997, Radiohead and The Verve released their respective efforts OK Computer and Urban Hymns , both of which were widely acclaimed.
