I am super excited about this segment today. One of my favorite things about writing a blog is connecting with people. Especially from all over the world. Charlie Isherwood is a model from London, and we’ve both been inspired by each other’s projects for a few years now so it was about time that I asked him a few questions for a feature on the blog.
A few months ago he told me about an awesome Trainspotting inspired shoot he did and I was blown away with the results. Really. The fashion film that accompanies the shoot is truly incredible as well. Charlie plays the role of Renton with Lawson Rhys Taylor, Gabe Mador, and Billy Moran.
Let’s find out more about Charlie…
LB: How did you get into modeling?
CI: I have a few friends that are stylists and they used to use me on shoots. Then I started shooting with bigger models and they told me I should try some agencies. I did but got turned away, I still carried on the odd shoots with friends and then my first published shoot with d1 models involved came out (pigeons & peacocks). I contacted d1 and they asked me to go down to the office. Then about 3 days later I got a email and I was a signed BOY. It was a dream come true.
LB: Who are your fashion inspirations?
CI: At the moment I am loving preppy grunge. Model Charlie Westerberg in his Topman campaign is probz a spot on image for me at the moment. I know people are going to hate me for saying this but fuck them ha, Rihanna is my style icon of all time, everything she does is just so fly!
CI: I think it would have to be Nik Thakkar! He’s the most amazing guy around at the moment, in my eyes he’s the Simon Cowell of the fashion world! I know him, big love for the guy! He’s just everything! Great style, handsome,and most importantly a total gothic grunge boy. You never see him out of black (unless he has a shirt around his waist) which is amazing in my eyes. He’s currently starring in Fashion One’s Correspondent Search and has done so many amazing projects and I’m sure we will see many more!
LB: What has been your favorite shoot so far and why?
CI: I think my favourite shoot I did has to be my Trainspotting shoot for Sportswear international, it was so much fun shooting it, as we broke so many rules! thats life 😉
LB: Best thing about modeling?
CI: The feeling you get when you step out on to the runway. all eyes on you. its amazing, legal hi ha
CI: Rihanna-Unapologetic. I can relate to it. and its so hood!

LB: What’s next for you?
CI: I have so many plans at the moment! Currently focusing on me! This is my year. I’m going to focus on my modeling most, because its something that I’ve always dreamed about.
