In the mid 90s the fashion from the skateboarding scene seemed to blend into the mainstream world. This was a bit of a subset of the grunge culture that sadly began to dwindle. The photo above is from the famous line in “Clueless” where Cher Horowitz expresses her complete distaste for the trend. This is one fact that I just have to disagree with Cher. Yes, I too even got a pair of JNCO jeans, a Stussy shirt, and even a chain wallet. Even after all these years I’m still a sucker for the skater boys. I thought for this week it’s time to take a look at the more relaxed and baggy fashion of the skate culture since it’s gone through such an overall in the 00s.
