Hedi Slimane is a creative genius. Literally, he’s one of those guys that you know who is good at everything. From 2000 to 2007 he was the creative director/ designer for Dior Homme, which changed the look of the house from then on. For the past year he’s been the designer for Yves Saint Laurent, famously dropping the Yves from the house as one of his first orders. He’s brought the influence of rock music, youth culture, and California to his designs. As if this isn’t enough, he’s also an accomplished photographer; shooting for some of the top publications in the world. The signature high contrast and black and white portraits give a raw and haunting portrayal. This post will hopefully give you just a bit more insight into the world of Hedi Slimane.
