It seems that the skateboarder-model hybrid is reaching its pinnacle in the world of fashion these days. Much like the musician-model or actor-model days of the 80s and 90s. Since living in California I’ve been more influenced by skateboarders as models. Not models in the traditional sense of an editorial way but more of a muse and inspirational figure that inspires photographers.

Ben Nordberg is a British born skateboarder for Flip Skateboards. He grew up in Bath, England and started skating at age eleven. Now he’s based in Los Angeles, one of the skating meccas and doing some shoots along the way. Not only do I love his ‘off duty’ style, but his editorial work is pretty dope too.
