A few weeks ago Adam Taylor shot a series called Lux Lisbon for the site. Being a huge fan of the Virgin Suicides film I had to see if there was a reason for choosing Lux. Turns out he’s completing a series of all five of the sisters.

“I was eighteen years old when Sophia Coppolaโs The Virgin Suicides was released. ย The film was beautiful, tragic and impactful all at the same time. ย Fifteen years later it still remains high up on my list of favorite films and will most likely stay that way. ย After my Lux Lisbon photo set and short film, which premiered on Fashion Grunge, I decided it would be fun for me to complete some more shorts and follow the same theme. ย Paying homage to The Virgin Suicides, Iโll be doing a total of five short films titled after each of the five Lisbon daughters from the film. ย Each female in the short will represent, not perfectly or identically, one of the sisters with a different mood and style. ย The second film, titled Cecilia Lisbon, is debuting now on Fashion Grunge and the remaining three will debut here as well to complete the series before Summerโs end. ย This has been a fun and fulfilling project for me and I truly hope the viewer enjoys each short film and can see through my eyes my love for The Virgin Suicides.”ย
