I’m all about a low maintenance routine which is pretty much no maintenance. Precisely why when Glossier releases a new product, I’m pretty much all over it. Founder Emily Weiss’ mantra of the brand is giving women control over their own beauty image. It focuses on not conforming to the mainstream beauty standards of over doing your daily routine with an amalgam of products advertised in your current periodical or whatever your favorite celebrity is endorsing. They’ve pretty much nailed it with the essentials; moisturizer, skin tint, rose water, and a versatile salve. We also can’t forget those two incredible masks. The new kid on the block is the ‘boy brow’.
Before the time in the 90s when everyone had pencil thin brows it seemed that boys where the only ones who had amazing thick brows. Well, that time has now changed and girls are putting down the tweezers and finally reclaiming the natural shape of their eyebrows. The new ‘boy brow’ product is like a pomade for your brows so you can groom & condition them without those clear gels (which I totally still have). I’m so excited to try this so I can have smooth brows instead of these weird plastic looking ones from the gel. They come in three shades; blonde, brown, and black.
I thought that I should at least include some of my favorite brows from 90s super stars.
Since the 90s are coming back in virtually every way there is a whole new crop of models in favor of letting their natural brows shine through. Honarable mentions: Ali Michael & Cara Delevingne.
