Dark Path is a moral tale set against the backdrop of the Dubai Interior. Told through the lens.

A photographic series documenting one souls’ tragic journey as she turns her back on her traditional home and follows her desires.

Her first strides are strong. Her intent is clear. But is this just a mask that she hides behind? As she distances herself from all that she knows and continues forward there is a change in the landscape.

The sands shift and manmade structures loom large. The city forms on the horizon. A stark realization dawns within her. The masks holds firmer. It is her crutch. Her guide along this long Dark Path. Every step towards her goal is a step further from her real self. Her innocence, her confidence, left strewn by the way side. The arrival at her destination. Amongst the artificial. The fake. The fabricated. This place she’d hoped to find herself. It seems all hope is lost. Surrounded by the reality of her situation only the mask, this ‘dark façade’ can disguise the sadness of her situation. She wanders. Staggers. Falls. The final destination. For her. And the mask.
