Yes, I’m back with another beauty review on the site. For this installment of ‘beauty shelf’ I tried out some products from Australian range, RED EARTH. Over the past few years here I’ve been experimenting with skincare in a way I could have never predicted. I spend my free web time learning about sea buckthorn oil and whether or not hyaluronic acid is for me.
I can honestly say out of all the ranges, this latest one has done wonders for my skin. So much so that I’m immediately thinking of a repurchase. Here are my thoughts on what I tried.
HYDRATE Refreshing Cleanser w/ Tasmanian Sea Kelp, $20
The cleanser step is one of the most important for me. Either it’s too oily, foamy, or too harsh. This cream based formula doesn’t lather up but acts more as a lotion as it cleans the skin. I have oily skin especially in the summer, but this surprisingly leaves your skin thoroughly clean. At 4oz it’s a healthy size too.
I love a good toner. No, really I do. I’m constantly spraying that rosewater on my face throughout the day. This toner isn’t as watery as usual toners I’m used to but the botanical scent and seaweed are amazing. It’s not so harsh and doesn’t dry out my skin so it can be used multiple times a day.
Recently the buzzword in skincare is: serum. For years I had no idea about them or what the purpose was. Since I’ve now entered the world of ‘mature’ skin and preventative measures serums are essential. They soak into the skin and help hydrate and protect your skin from the environment. This particular one is enhanced with seaweed but dries quickly.
I love a good eye cream. This was the last product that I ran out of. It’s a great eye cream, perfect to pair with the hydrate range.
Super moisturizer that is thick out of the tube but soaks into the skin so well. I love the botanical smell that goes along with the rest of the range. This is a great finisher to the entire range, making my skin clear and glowy.
