These pictures tell the story of a young boy who lives in a nice residential neighborhood, where it all seems that he can live well, but there is something in his daily life that is slightly deformed.
There is something in the residential thing, we have acquired from Hollywood films from “The American Dream”. There are films that play with that, like in some David Lynch films, in which there is a presentation about a nice house, but suddenly in the following scene, there is a breaking from the “normal” and “nice” things, like in “Blue velvet” where after the nice house, appears a cut ear in the grass.
This breaking off of the everydayness is reflected on these pictures by the slight deformity of boring and normal situations.
