When I was in New York at the end of summer I made it a point to get back to my roots in photography. I just wanted to channel the feeling I had when I was at university in NY in 2001. At first I started with portraits which takes a simple connection, few words and instinct. This series reminded me of the days I used to hang out in Washington Square Park with no cell phone, no plan, and no rules.
