EPISODE NOTES
Money. Success. Fame. Glamour.
We’re back in the NY club scene about a decade later with the Party Monster story. While we mostly stay on the film track we get detailed about the many documentaries about the true story that more than inspired this tale. There are so many fashion standouts that could be it’s own episode. The portrayal of Michael Alig and James St. James by Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green deserves all the awards. Me, Charles, and Mikey talk this INSANE story, the uncomfortable accuracies, and question just how the fuck this all happened.
Off-topic rants include: TV shows we’re obsessing on, newish Brokeback Mountain news, and tales about Mikey’s dog Boss.
“Now it’s all about photo placement. So if you’re in a group of three always, always, always make sure that you’re the one standing on the right because that way when they print the picture you’ll be the one on the left. The caption will read “James St. James and bla bla bla” were seen, okay?”
