Camp Nowhere (1994) dir. Jonathan Prince
“You know, back in the ’60s when we said we wanted to change society, maybe we should’ve been more specific.”
EPISODE NOTES
Watching this movie was like cuddling up with a warm blanket. It’s one of me and Jules’ childhood faves and it was like going back in time seeing this again. There were so many adult takes we had like how this could never work as a storyline now, the pipeline from summer camp to cults, how this 90s kids fashion is literally on point, and how Christopher Lloyd plays the weird and cool uncle we wished we had growing up.
Off-topic rants include: my own sleep away camp story, how there are so many tv shows and films about camp, and I keep giving Jules a list of movies she needs to watch
