In my recent short film, I explore the profound theme of loss and grieving within the context of a couple’s journey. Set against the backdrop of Buenos Aires, the narrative delves into the emotional terrain of a young woman navigating the aftermath of her partner’s departure. As she grapples with the absence of her significant other, the film encapsulates the essence of loss, portraying the poignant journey of reminiscence and sorrow. Through evocative imagery and cinematic storytelling, the audience is immersed in the protagonist’s world, where memories and mementos serve as both solace and sources of pain. Each frame captures the melancholic beauty of Buenos Aires, reflecting the character’s inner turmoil amidst the bustling cityscape. The short film serves as a poignant reflection on the universal human experience of grief, inviting viewers to confront the complexities of loss and the transformative power of memory. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring nature of love amidst adversity.

“I brought my equipment to Argentina with the intention of shooting a project there. After Alexan and Benja, old friends, saw my Instagram post, they reached out, and everything fell into place naturally. We captured everything using just one can of without any additional lighting. I had the film pushed +2 in the lab, and I’m thrilled with how the celluloid responded. Nearly all our shots were captured in one take, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.”
