I have such an interesting relationship with photography. Over the last few years I haven’t been as active with my camera for a number of reasons. I had transitioned from shooting portraits to doing more landscapes and documentary work. However there are a few muses that I have worked with in the past and when we get together it feels right. There are only a handful of them and they know who they are.
I have been shooting Issie for almost 10 years now. We met when she was 17 and now all these years later we catch up through taking photos together. She was in town for July 4th and it was in the middle a month long heat wave and we had our own, backyard session. I was thinking of the photographer Corinne Day when creating this unplanned and raw series.
