As you know by now I’m so intrigued by youth cultures. Doesn’t matter the decade or the subject, I find what people gravitate to during their formative years to be so interesting. In Derek Ridgers new book, The London Youth Portraits he makes an all new edit of this previously published work. Starting in the late 70s and until the mid 80s we see so many different subcultures represented. From the Mods to the Skins and the Blitz Kids it’s such a great overall look at London during that time.
I’m continuing to document my collection, the Fashion Grunge Library on TikTok and Instagram, this one is a standout.
