I was shooting more than I normally do at the end of last year. Akin was in town and we decided to spend one of the first cold days of the season shooting outside. I had in mind for the shoot the layered look of the 90s that I still lean on as one of my style instincts when the weather drops. When function turned to fashion in the look of long johns as a layering base was my nod to the grunge movement.
