Once it’s been unearthed a whole new world has come back to me. Enter the late 90s series, V.I.P. starring (at the time) Pamela Anderson Lee. She was fresh from Baywatch and could clearly lead her own show about being a badass bodyguard that literally smacked her way into her new career. There are so many weird storylines that bring the V.I.P. team together. From her movie premiere date with “Brad Cliff” to the fact that she works at a hot dog stand when this whole thing starts, and how a small team of super agents foil a militia coming to attack them all. Either way me and @agentmikey007 kinda loved the CAMP of it all and any excuse to watch Queen Pamela! 🚨[now on Patreon] Forward Flash 036: I’m the first pancake. | Pieces of April (2003) 🦃 [link in bio] Yes, it’s a post T-giving movie but it’s still the holiday weekend so it counts. There is one thing that I genuinely miss about early 00s indie films. Going into the video rental shop and seeing a cover with one of your favorite actors and just taking a whim on a new film. That’s exactly how I discovered Pieces of April from 2003. Starring Katie Holmes who we all loved from Dawson’s Creek, and with Patricia Clarkson playing her mother it immediately caught my attention. With a shoe string budget the story and incredible acting takes such a simple story of family dynamics over a holiday weekend and it spins into such a great story and film to watch this season. Me and @agentmikey007 talk about our first time watch (we think?), being shocked this was the only time Patricia Clarkson was nominated for an Oscar, and talk all about how great ‘baddie’ Katie Holmes looks.
