We basically just had a rollercoaster of a chat talking some obscure reality shows (Bridalplasty!?), question how some of these shows were made, and our thoughts on Love Island. It’s no secret that I love TV. Even more than my love for TV is my undying loyalty to an HBO show. This would be ultimately be my dream job, to select what gets made for the channel. This brings me to the time in 2014 that I took a chance on a show that I had no idea would become one of my faves, Silicon Valley.

I’m starting off by talking the pilot episode ‘Minimum Viable Product’ where we meet Richard and the Pied Piper crew. If we only knew then what the tech world would become in the next decade this show would have felt so different. If we made a show now it would be far more sinister.

So enjoy this trip back to the nostalgic hilarious tech world of 2014.
