Menswear Monday: Vratko Barcik Photographs

For this installment of my Menswear Monday I have decided to share some work by a talented photographer, Vratko Barcik of Slovakia. I found his site while checking out some new male models on the fashion scene today and was pleasantly surprised by his images. He captures mens fashion in a new way that leaves the viewer haunted by these images. One of the great things about having a blog is the ability to share things that inspire me from all over the world. I will be checking up on this guy to see where his images land next.

Been Caught Stealin from Johnny’s Bird.

I love Sundays. Except for ones like these when I have to work.  I thought it was time to take a little journey over to London to see what Johnny’s Bird was up to. Apparently they are stealing dresses from stores in London and photographing it. I don’t suggest it but take a look at this captured. Tres grunge style indeed.

and I only thought it was appropriate to add in the classic Jane’s Addiction video, “Been Caught Stealin”

I Voted! You Can Too!

(this is a photo I submitted)

Ok, so normally I am not all about self-promotion but in this case I think I can make an exception…

A few weeks ago I submitted three of my photos for consideration to be shooting NY fashion week with none other than Kelly Cutrone of People’s Revolution! Voting started yesterday and I need to get as many votes as possible to be in the top 20. It would mean so much to me if all of you guys could take a second from your day vote for me! Also, spread the word to anyone you know too!

Thanks a bunch!

ps. i’m hours away from an editorial that will blow your mind so stay tuned this week for more fashion and more grunge!

Champagne for the Campaign: Alexander Wang S/S 2011

Even though A. Wang was quoted as saying that his new “spring promotion” images shot by Craig McDean was not an ad campaign, I still love it.  Let’s face it. He could cough in a bag and I would love it. Better get your hands on a copy of Interview Magazine this March, cause that’s the only place you’ll see it in print.

Tattoo Tuesday! (Drops of Jupiter edition)

Hello everyone!!

This is Tiffany from the Drops Of Jupiter BLOG.

I am so honored to be guest blogging here on Fashion Grunge…(honestly I can’t even believe it!)

A popular post of mine is Tattoo Tuesday where I post… tattoos… on (you guessed it) Tuesday!! Simple as that BUT… I’d love to share with you my “Fashion Grunge” edition of tattoos and how I pick them out for readers like you!

enjoy.

hand tattoos.

yeah yeah, it looks a little dirty and you can’t have a “coorporate job” BUT I like dirty AND i like anyone who’s “anti-coorporate” like me and that’s that!

chest tattoos.

the above is VERY NICE and i like them because you can hide them and they are pleasant surprise when they “come out” to greet you :)

back and back of neck tattoos.

same thing! LOVE them and love when they surprise me!!

Nine till Noon…

There is something about this video that is so inspiring. It also drives a knife through my heart because it was shot at Mars Bar in NYC which just happens to be one of my favorite spots in Manhattan. Sadly, in the beginning of the year it closed it’s doors as most places seem to when high rise condos are in the mix. Check this out anyway: this is the video that totally represents my blog and aesthetic.

Menswear Monday Pt. 2: Attention! Alexander McQueen F/W 11.12

I usually don’t do this but I have so much inspiration running around in my head that I just had to post some of the looks from Milan right now. Yes, it’s finally time for the men to have their fashion week.

This military inspired collection with sharp tailoring and angular capes is just what captivates me about menswear these days.
