Ok, so this is a bit of a departure form your regularly scheduled programming, but I just had to comment about the menswear collection from Opening Ceremony for Fall 2015. Over the past two years I’ve re-discovered my love for film photography. This includes creating an online community for it.
The designers of OC are great friends with photographer/director Spike Jonze and have since created a capsule in their line featuring some of his projects, outtakes, and contact sheets on their clothing. Noteable would be photos of Immediately this drew my eye. Hello, that contact sheet 3/4 length jacket! Another prominent design is the manipulation of the vintage Kodak logo. From an artistic standpoint and the blending of two mediums, color me impressed. Looks like I’ll be trying to get my hands on more menswear the next Fall season.
