Girlhood by Kelly B.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this series of photos in my inbox. Kelly B, based in NYC shot her 9 year old daughter Kimani Dior at her grandmother’s house in Green Island, NY.

I shot my daughter Kimani there, with the house as is, using clothing I brought mixed with pieces I found in my Grandma and Dad’s closets. 

I lived here for a short time when I was 9 years old so it was a cool experience for me to shoot her at the same age.
