Macarena is my best friend and, ever since I’ve know her, has always told me that Pepe is her favorite person on Earth and how close she is at this point of life with him.
“It’s crazy: when you are a kid, you are very close with your grandparents. You are confident, you are not embarassed and you do whatever you want with them. Suddenly, you are passing through the adolescence and you are so locked down on your world that you forget about this feelings.
And now, when you are growing a bit up, you go back to that stage of life of confidenciality” tells Maca.
What got my attention from the beginning was Pepe’s photogenic ease as soon as I took my camera and how easily, at 92, he got into a character. But, of course, he didn’t leave his granddaughter’s side when posing with Macarena.
According to what my friend told me before taking the pictures, Pepe is always wearing suits. And that’s why, the stylist, Cristian Lobos, was in charge of getting the right clothes for the occasion: Suits made by Jorge Williams, a well-known tailor from Buenos Aires (who is famous for making suits made with ties, labels and even flags) and other items from renowned brands.
