The Girlfriend Experience attempts to explore how romanticism and idealism inhibits us from finding true love. The work is a series of nostalgic images of a young woman from the gaze of her lover. Ironically, the images have no sentiment to us, she’s a stranger, yet we begin to associate memories with her; falsify experiences and endure the emotional cycle of a relationship based entirely on fiction.
